new scout added to the family

Id been lookin on Craig's list for some Scout parts an I found this 1973 Scout. It has the heavy duty tow package leaf springs ,transfer case, an a manual transmission an a beautyfull engin

I also got a few other things like doors a straight hood , a skid plate, some cool old school IH front hubs. An extra set of springs. New vin.

I picked this up last Sunday for 250 bucks. I plan on droppin in the manual, transfer case an this new set of awsome springs. Plus vin as soon as possable.

Does any one know how mutch a new pressure plate, clutch disks, an throwe out bearing caughst.

What size clutch do u need I have a brand new one at home that was to small. So maybe it can work for u I will measure it when I get home

An optimists thinks the glass is half full. Pessimists think the glass is half emty. Realists know that some one will have to wash that glass.

I came across this opertunity to buy a 73 frame, transmission, transfer case, springs an hood for 250 bucks knowing that I wont come across an opertunity for this cheap ever again.

To add to this the guy I bought the truck from threw in a good moter a set of stock spring an the doors plus a 10,000 pound side winder winch for free :ihi
after having so much troble smoging the spcl I decided to build a pre smog rig
also my springs are shot, an my transmission is slipping verey badly. My transfer case grinds everywhere I go plus my out putshaft bearing is about gone.

I dont know what type of manul transmission I got is. I imagin its what ever the tow packeged models came with
