New owner/member with LST question

Wife picked up a 74 Scout project in mid April. Ordered LST night of April 30, and received it today. (39 days, instead of 6 months)

Looks to be a bare bones one, but that is ok. Working on freeing up the 258. Needs some quarter work and floor work by tailgate. I added the aluminum wheels, as the steel ones on it didn’t hold air.

Attached is the LST. The ship to address is the Ft Wayne plant, I’m guessing. Would this have just been one made, (not ordered) and just randomly sent to a stocking dealer?

Confirmed it was originally Glacier Blue, but wife unsure if she wants it blue or orange. More of the red is coming out each time we clean it.

Thanks for any input on the LST

And her project (first vehicle she said she wanted in our 34 years together - either a Scout, or early Bronco, as her father had both when she was growing up.)

Yes basically.
See near the bottom of the LST...."GOLD K SCOUT 4X4 60 J"
That is IHC shorthand for GOLD KEY models which they has several versions.
They were various optioned Scout models where the dealer only had to order the Gold Key number of choice and add the color.
The factory also used to build these as needed to keep the production line full, then they moved to the TSPC for storage until a dealer ordered one. Then they could get one of these already built and shipped out to the dealer.
Your Scout II 4X4 is a very basic unit: Base AMC 258 cu. in. straight six, 3 speed manual transmission, manual steering, all base units.
