Well I'm just about done with my Scout 2 build and we'll as most of you now u just can't have one so. I found this today for $500 she needs work yes but it's going to be a gift for my wife/reason to keep building scouts. So the low down.... I have no clue of the year and yea it's missing some parts but it's a Scout 800a aristocrat.

Amc 232 I-6 engine. Ihc's 6 cylinder engines were too big and ancient to be viable for the Scout platform. Solution...buy engines from your direct competitor to provide a 6 cylinder option.

A wife who loves scouts - what a find!

What are your plans, resto or mod? You could stay with six in a row; rebuild the original, 258 or even a 4.0 - but that one would require a 'puter.

Yea I'm bad at taking pics but my buddy got a lot the day we got her

My wife, who went on her honeymoon in our Scout in 1985, is looking at your find and giving me that look of don't do that for me. Your wife must have a lot of faith in you.

So how do you know if you're a redneck? You're out weed whacking and you find a car you forgot about. :-}

please share pics of the restoration, or keep your buddy around. Hey, your just over the hill, I'm in hopland. Howdy neighbor.

Yea she dose have a lot of fath in me . We went throw hell when I was building my Scout but she nows I enjoy building things . Nice your in hopland do you ever get over to lakeport? I do get over there often. I see you're a diesel fan, here's the one that runs our off-grid home when the sun does not shine.
