The annual ham swap meet (swaptoberfest) is Saturday oct 23 at the polk county fairgrounds in rickreall. Admission is $8 and the hours are 9-3, but if you're there afternoon, most everything is gone.

If any of you local nerds want or need a radio or two, and you can't stand the smell of 3,000 old men, in a small room with a bunch of old electronics, let me know, I'll be there and can pick up what you need, if it's available.

Well, the nerd swap was somewhat disappointing, in terms of turnout and good stuff available. I did manage to score a couple of older two meter rigs ,however, one for $25 and another for $50.
Anybody want one? Dboy has first claim to one.

Never seen so many antennas in one parking lot like I did there!
