Need weight chart for International SV engines!

hi all! I remember some time back running across a chart that had the dry weights of each of the International small v8 engines. I cannot, however, find it now. Has anyone seen this chart I mentioned? Maybe you have a copy? Maybe you're just an IH genius and have committed said facts to memory. At any rate, I need to hear from you! Considering a new project and need to know what kind of weight/power options I have. Thanks, in advance, for any help you can lend! email me Or send me a message.

This is extracted from the sales engineering ct-404-l data book dated April, 1973.

Dry weights of "dressed" engines available in light duty vehicles for that era:

amc 6-258 --489lbs.
Sv 304a--700lbs.
Sv 345--725lbs.
Sv 392--765lbs.
Amc v 400 (401)--645lbs.

Michael,

I knew I should have just emailed you! I didn't want to be a pest. Now everyone has access to the same info, thanks. Now, if you could only tell me the weight of the 266, I'd be a happy man! :yesnod:

Since it is a 1973 bulletin, the 266 was out of production.

So, it should weigh the same or slightly less than the 304.

An insignificant difference, if you are "worried" about the weight of an engine.

I hope you are retaining in some format all the guapo we've emailed about over the years lance! That stuff is getting harder for me to locate on this big 'ol hard drive! My IH data filing system keeps evolving inna manner that seems fine at the time, but when I go lookin' for shit...it's not where I put it 10 years ago!

Most references I have for the 266 show a dry "dressed" weight of 702.8lbs. And before ya ask...a 152 inna Scout 80/800 is showing 505lbs. And a 196 comes in at 545.5lbs. Dressed. But keep in mind..."dressed" at the time was ambiguous...for the I-4 motors that included "standard" accessories, but not an a.I.r. System or a governor if equipped.

Believe me, everything We have discussed, pondered and "solutionified" has been stashed away for future reference. That way, I can cram my hard drive full and, someday, be saying the exact same things to some other young whipper-snapper! Thanks again!
