Hi

I found a dealer for swepco products in norway, was thinking of ordering a badge of 210 for the transfercase, 4-speed manual transmission and Dana diff's, also the 306 (15w40) engine oil.

My Scout is 'stock', no special upgrades, how much of each must I order for a full service? (please in liters)

thanx...

Thanks for your post.....

The needed swepco products for the Scout you requested are:

306-15w40 engine oil (6 u.s. Quarts)- 5.6781 liters
210- 80w140 gear oil (2 u.s. Gallons)- 7.5708 liters

please note that these quantities will be what you need to fill the systems you have mentioned, but you will not have anything left over. I always recommend at least having top-off engine oil on hand in case you need it.

You May not be able to purchase the products in the liter size, I think quite a bit of that is being shipped into norway from our main factory in ft. Worth tx, that is why I also gave the u.s. Packaging size to you.

Please let us know if there is any other information you need.

Hi again,

he had some trouble delivering 210, he suggested 201 or 203 (w/ molybden) which he has on stock.

What would be the correct choice?

Evidently he does not stock the 210.... Too bad, I really prefer it, but the 201 in the 80w90wt should still do a great job for you, it will be a little less expensive than the 203 or the 210, but it will have better cold shift characteristics for you than the 203 90wt would in your climate. If he does not stock the 80/90, then go with either the 201 or the 203 in the straight 90wt.

The 203 moly gear oil is really suited to the heavy industrial uses where the extra protection of the moly is needed, even tho it would be an "overkill" in your rig, it would still work fine.
