Need Dana 300 case, any cond. but cracked

Need a 1980 Dana 300 t-case, cracked my case on mine(it has the tera-low 4:1 conversion, and the advanced adapters hardened rear output, I have a set of stock gears, so I could even use just the shell, case only no internals. I haven't taken it out of the rig yet, so I don't know if the internals are damaged or not. Call frank, 707-235-4552(btw, it's in a Jeep, have Scout Dana 44 axles in it too, hope that doesn't bother you Scout guys too much, I helped my stepson get his Scout going, we just did the rubicon last weekend. )
 
Well, found one, and another maybe, got the case out, gears look ok, haven't removed anything from the case yet, just looked in the access cover, looks like the shift fork for the rear output got a little beat up. Some metal slivers in the oil. I don't want to take it apart till I'm ready to put it back together with another.
 
j&w Jeep Up near sacramento probably has some. No idea whether they would be reasonable on cost. Last time I was there they had 10 or so IH vehicles. I'm making an assumption that the Jeep version May be compatible, but maybe I'm wrong here.
 
My son has an empty case if you want I could ask if he wants to sell it ed
oops sorry just talked to him and its a Dana 20 not a 300

J&w would probably want about $1000 for one.

The IH 300 and the Jeep 300 are not the same, different mounting pattern. IH used the texas pattern and Jeep used the round.

IH 300 cases are getting harder and harder to find.
 
Im speaking for "franked" here. He's my stepdad and helped me build my Scout. He's on vacation for a couple days so im posting to keep this thread alive. He has a Jeep t-18 transmission but it is the texas bolt pattern so thats why he needs a IH 300. There has gotta be one around somewhere. Thanks for your help guys.
 
Hey rock tractor, do u have a build thread online anywhere? Curious how u fitted 42's under your Scout. I am guessing you are sprung over with Chevy springs?
 
Thanks for the help, people. I have one coming from down south 250.00 for an empty case, rocktractor, do you use a Scout Dana 300 in your rig? Stock, or what's modified?
