Does anybody have a 1977 or newer Scout ps box, the one with 3/4" input? I hooked up the hydroboost on maranda's Scout and blew a seal. I have a spare older box with the 13/16" input I can trade.

Does it need to work? Or can you rebuild it?

I might have one, but it leaks internally. I'll have to measure.

You can just swap just the input if you can find one that doesn't leak. If you are careful you can slide the input out and swap it without doing any real work....
 
I can probably replace the seal, but I was looking for a quick swap deal.

I don't think I can just change the input on an old box, doesn't the newer style box use different hoses too (o-ring style)?

hmmm, my box is using the o-ring style now. GM made the switch to the new boxes in late 77, but it's a Scout and who knows what was done to it before I got it. :icon_wink:

IH switched in '80 (almost 100% sure) with all the other stuff they switched that year....

So what you have is a typical IH..... :ciappa:
 
If its the seal on the input(steering wheel side) its very easy to replace, took me about 10 minutes once I had the box out, probably just as simple to fix the one you got than try and locate and/or ship one too you.

Thanks steve, I think I have a replacement already, but if it doesn't work out I'll fix the seal.
