Need a new Transmission Pan

As you can see from the attached picture, I have a severly leaking transmission pan, its had a new gasket attached, and some of the holes were worn, and I helicoiled them. Seemed to work for awhile, but after going out of town for a couple of weeks came home to a even worse leak. I think a new pan, and gasket May be my next attempt to fix, before anything major. What transmission is this pictured? If you can tell from the pan, I am pretty sure I know, and what I have always thought it was, but not for 100%. I always thought it was a tourqueflite 727, it is an auto 4 speed. The engine and tranny were from my 73, that I put in my 72. Just wanted to make sure before I bought a new pan. Thanks

Its a tf a727 3spd auto. If you want a new pan, fine, but the leak May actually be coming from somewhere above the pan, such as the shift shaft seal, (ultra common) tv rod seal (fairly common) or even the neutral start switch. If any of those are the case, a new pan won't fix jack. Another possibility is that the pan bolts have been overtightened at some point which possibly distorted the pan tin in the process. The stripped out threads requiring helicoil repair being a good indicator of herculean torque applied.
