napas discontinued the cv regulator

Doc stewert gave me the part number for the cv reg that runs your gages and said I could find it at napa so I wet down to napa on Saturday and they told me that it has been discontinued. Napa referred me to vic huv and so at some point I will be going down there to find out if they have it or not I will post up again to let you know.

I'm "assuming" you are referring to a constant voltage regulator for a Scout II application?

Many workarounds for that. Two of which are:

airtex 1v1005 for some Ford applications, that one will have "button" terminals similar to a 9vdc battery...street price in the $50 range.

Airtex 1v1000 for many chrysler product apps (say a dodge pickup/1975), that one will have male slide terminals, around $35 street price.

Both mount with a "tab" on the cannister.
