"Mystery" Toggle Switch

Ok, so I recently got to work on my 78 Scout II and I found this mysterious toggle switch lurking in the shadows screwed onto the firewall. Any ideas on what it is for. Thanks!

Something somebody cobbled in for God only knows why. If there are any wires hooked to it, trace 'em and see what they go to. That's your only slim chance of solving the mystery. Or just remove it, chuck it in the trash, crack open a cold frothy and don't pay it another second's thought.
