My winter project

I just picked this up today thanks to the help from my next door neighbor. This is a 79 345 4 barrel with 727 and Dana 20 tc. This Scout spun on the ice in orygone and nailed a tree with the right front just inside of the headlight. The frame is toast but there is no rust in the tub or the roof that I could spot. What fun to load this with no axles just springs. It took about 1 1/2 hours with a come along and floor jack on the front and an engine hoist on the back. Lots of sweat but fortunately no blood. The guy I bought it from took the axles out for his cj heep. I really wanted the front Dana 44. This ought to keep me out of trouble all winter and then some. I'm trying to post some pics but not having any luck right now.

I'm trying. The pop up said something about a security token missing that wouldn't let me post. I just posted a picture of an aluminum rim this morning the same way and it worked fine. I'll keep trying. Danny

Ok the problem ive had doing that is uploading to many pictures at too large of a file size. If you post multiple times or downsize the pictures it works for me

Hope there are pics here:cryin:

I might do something like that on the blue one. It's interior is going in the brown one. There might be enough intact frame on the brown one to make a crawler out of it.

More pics of dismantling. The tub is in really good shape with only a couple of small fixes.

I don't know what brand the liner was, it was on the interior when I got the Scout. Whatever brand it was I'm not very impressed. The bare cargo floor was very clean so I would have expected it to stick better. I'll probably coat it with por 15 and then paint it and install a carpet kit.
