Modification question

Hello, I am considering purchasing a 62’scout 80 but I would like to remove the truck bed partition behind the front seats and add a bench seat back there similar to the set up I have seen on some of the scout 800s . Does anyone know if this is a bad idea structurally ?

That bulkhead is optional and can be removed.

The bulkhead can be removed but there must be a structural reinforcement to the front upper edge of the rear quarter panels. In 62-63 the removable bulkhead became an option, but see the bar added to the quarter panel in the attached photo.\
