Major Screwup

So as usual, I don't plan ahead very well. Now that the diesel and the ajoining auto trans have been un-ajoined, I decided I need to get some marvel oil into the injectors, lest they suffer thay same rusty fate as their predecessors. As it looks like it might be some time before this pair gets re-adjoined.
A smart guy would have thought of this before hand, but not me.
So the torque converter is still attached to the engine and persumably still full of atf. I can't find a drain plug and the center snout is not plugged.
Now, if I start this thing up long enough to pump some oil into the injectors, is it going to sling aft all over the shop? The obvious answer is to plug the tc, which I will do, but then what other problems/damage might I cause?
