Mike, dumb question de jour

So as usual, I don't plan ahead very well. Now that the diesel and the ajoining auto trans have been un-ajoined, I decided I need to get some marvel oil into the injectors, lest they suffer thay same rusty fate as their predecessors. As it looks like it might be some time before this pair gets re-adjoined.
A smart guy would have thought of this before hand, but not me.
So the torque converter is still attached to the engine and persumably still full of atf. I can't find a drain plug and the center snout is not plugged.
Now, if I start this thing up long enough to pump some oil into the injectors, is it going to sling aft all over the shop? The obvious answer is to plug the tc, which I will do, but then what other problems/damage might I cause?

Don't stick anything inside the tc snout.

I find some kinda rubber plumbing plug/cap that will fit over the snout that ya can clamp down with a hose clamp. Like used for pressure testing water piping.

The "pump" for the tranny is that cast iron part that covers the guts of the tranny, the part the tc slides over and engages. So with no pump pumpin', then ya won't have a problem with running just a few seconds. But ya will hear some rattlin' going on inside the tc. But then that oiler motor rattles anyway so ya May not hear it. Just run for 10 seconds or so, no longer. Then wait a few and do again if ya need to.

Best thang is to simply remove the tc from the flex plate...four bolts (maybe 6 on that one???), one is offset so ya can't put the tc back on the flex in the wrong position.

Yeah, I know where the pump is, the question is, if running will cause some pumping action, or will centrifugal force keep the fluid in the tc?
This thing shakes bad enough as is, with no weight on the fp/flywheel I'm afraid it will shake apart. At least it will shake it's way across the floor.
It'll take at least a couple of minutes to get oil through the filter and to the injectors.
I won"t hear any rattling. This thing is so loud you couldn't hear a jet taking off right next to ya. To make matters worse, it doesn't have an exhaust system on it right now.

I guess I take the tc off and try it!
