Michael Mayben How's Your Wife??

Ya gotta know...it ain't very often I git white trash home cookin' outta tha chick from cape cod!

She's doin' so well today, she jes' told me to load them dawgs in tha beater truck so we can go git lost on some log haul trails up in the hills where tha snow is!

We're gone for the day!

Always good to hear some good news. Glad that kathy is doing well and it sounds like you had a real feast. One of these days I will drive up there for my carb, that is unless you gave it away by now. Enjoy the snow
wes

Mm,

thoughts and prayers are also with you from ol' so. Cal. From both me and cindy.

We wish your wife the best! If the doctor prescribes sunshine, beaches, and out of control wildfires, you're always welcome down thisaway.

Brian and cindy

Thanks for the thoughts Brian!

Got the preliminary results back from the cardio tests late this afternoon, no discernible damage or issues with the pump!

Blood work still looks ok so the transfusions for the anemia are holding up...must be all that silver powder stopleak I mixed in the iv baggie when the nurse turned her back. So all signs are pointing that this was an isolated incident triggered by a tremendous amount of work-related stress.

When I see the santa ana season kick in, see the socal smoke on the horizon from up here, and read about all the evacs it sure don't make me homesick for huntington beach and the laguna fires of '96!

Glad to hear the good news.

What?, you do not like the hills of la on fire pushed by santa ana winds -- I watched them burn 3 / 4 times while I was growing up down there in the 50's / 60's. Of course, there was not nearly as many houses in the "burn area" as there is now.

I think I still have a picture of me on a tricycle in the snow (one inch) in san gabriel (city / flatlands) in 1949.

Both of you take care.

Maybe I'll have to cook for her for a change when I'm down!

Glad to hear she's getting back to real life. How was the snow run?

Hello michael!

Picking up this thread a little late, but best wishes to kathy from a couple of folks here, out on the cape.

Peace.

Brett

??? now there are no houses in the burn area .

I know bad joke . but I couldn't resist .

I am surrounded by the smoke plumes so don't come here .

unless the smoke is comming offa mm's grill I am tired of the shnizz.

Now, I cannot resist -- thread hijack:

from bad joke to "worse joke""

there are "tens of thousands" of houses in the "burn areas" -- they just have not burnt yet.....

If you cook and I bullshit...nothin' will git done!

Dave has a charge account at vida cafe, we'll jes' go up and sign the tab. Since ada delivers lunch to Mike and barry acrost tha highway, maybe she'll deliver to us too??

Ada put inna order for a 12lb. Brisket on Sunday so she'll owe me!

No snow where we ended up...the base of wolf rock. But there had been!

And if brett makes hiz way out west for Binder Bee 2009 he'll git sum brisket and hawg (no chupacabra...I'm movin' up to tha guud stuff now) too, he's prolly gittin' tired of smoked lahbsta!

Great to hear kathy is doing much better. That is good news!! Hopefully we will get to see you both at the Christmas party.

Still planning on camping out in the front campsite? Don't think carl will have the gas tank cleaned out, but I can set up a temporary clean fuel set up like he and I did the other day and we can re-install the carb you built for his rig. Sound like a plan?

Lyle

Yep...we'll be there for tha pardee and tha camporee in your park!

I currently have one functioning 'lectric portable jerrycan fuel system that we can use. The other three 'lectric pumps are waiting for the repair kits to come in, all three were eaten by alkeegazz...the bellows/diaphragms returned to a state of black latex like it's runnin' out of a rubber tree!

That por 15 he's usin' needs to cure for a looooong time!

Good! Glad to hear it. We can set up the "jerry can like" system here, though it is not a sophisticated as yours. Either way is ok with me.

See you at the party,

lyle
