Maybenville Caravan Senic Route

The other kiddos who have grown up in IHSTO and will be here for tassie to meet are immune to weird, they think we're all normal (except for monte and daniel).

This isn't weird...

The jetpak propulsion unit and the knee pads are some of the stuff we're gonna raffle off, the rest of the stuff is part of the new me.

If anyone sees koolaid in a jug on the table though do not drink it!!! We do not carry liability insurance that will cover what happens after downin' the red. Pelosi couldn't follow the rules when she wuz here for her azz-whoopin' last year, ya see what effect it had on he/she/it!

For you kidz takin' the scenic route...southbound on hiway 228 outta sweet home (aka Holley rd.), then to the brush creek to marcola cutoff just east of crawfordsville...

Just before ya git to the rowell hill/greenville rd. Intersection with 228, look to yore left (that would be out the driver side winder for you navy folk)) and you will see the Scout 80/800 farm where they grow 'em around the barn/shop. I been told ta never stop and ask about 'em though, ain't IH-friendly folks though if ken kain't schmooze 'em into the mood then it ain't possible. Or...mabee that is why they ain't IH friendly???

It's been a loooong week. We are taking the freeway. I just want to get there and enjoy the day.

Lyle

ps-not to outdo Mike's fresh chupee, but linda's ribs just came off the q. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

The early's will not be early. The kids soccer game does not get started until 10 or so. Will be there late noon.

I attempted to get the day off. With the state giving us mandatory unpaid time off, I figured I'd be really sneaking and sign up for the maybenville cruise day. They told me no, I was needed at work. See, I try and save the state money, but they won't let me. Instead, I am not only working, but also getting 2 hours of ot at 2.5 times normal pay. We have people who have 38 hours of ot this month, partially normal ot and the rest covering other people muto. Go figure.

It was a great day for the foster/carlsons also. What a beautiful country drive that halie enjoyed seeing so much. The friendship and fun were both great. Halie really enjoyed playing with both old and new friends and helping to wear the dogs out. She was asleep before I hit I-5 and did not wake till home about 2 hours later. Thanks to everyone who made this day possible.

Greg

Wow! Mayben's chateau is slightly more expansive than the kaczinski shack he had us all envisioning. What a great chunk of land! Too bad I live 800 miles south. Looked like a fun time!

Yawl are welcome up here at IH heaven/boneyard anytime dude, everyone needs to leave lalaland on a regular basis to git grounded! I left it onna permanent basis in '97!

The kazcinski shack is actually my office/parts room/shop, I live in that on the couch, momma and the dawgs live in the house over my haid!

And if yawl come up (anyone and everyone is invited except for those folks we've had to ban!!), yawl better be in the mood to float the mckenzie, a typical day trip we do is between eight and twenty miles.

Hail, 800 miles is an ez roadtrip man, I used to make that run all the time, u-jerzee to san diego took me 16 hours, but I hate I-5 which spoils the whole trip until ya hit redding goin' north.

What a great event we had! The taylor fambly unit just rolled out after campin' last nite! A quickee rain shower hit about 4ayem and then it wuz gone, so the kids got to sleep in the tent with it raining! They are headed over to the coast/dunes now to complete the orygone weekend experience.

We had quite a few new folks which is great! And more kidz and dawgz here at one time than ever before, looked like the county fair except everyone was happy and the grub wuz dirt cheep! Can ya believe how them old-timer IHSTO kidz have grown since last year??? And the entire laurer krew in one place at the same time!!! Pretty amazing, and great buncha pics, yoda is now appointed ofishul bee photographer and archivist! The kidz got real talent!!

Nobody had to work on any junkiron, nobody broke down (or at least they didn't admit it, even daniel made it all the way!), and no locking hubs blowed out!

Let's do it agin, the next gatherin' will be post-Binder Bee when folks what can will foller us home for anuther camporee, then the fall trip to lapine state park in September.

Yeah copy that, man! And thanks for the offer. September works better for me. Might be out of work by then anyway! Its that or next year's bee. Feeling pretty left out at this point, so its time to firm up my plans and meet you goofballs face to face!

It was a good day. I met some new folk, and caught up on some howdys with the regulars.
My thanks to Mike and kathy for hosting such a great gig!
