Didnt realize I never posted up my rig. Figured I'd better do that just to show ya'll I actually do have a hunk-uh-junk im workin on. It's not much right now, but hopefully will become a rightous crawler in time... Just never happens quick enough! :icon_eek:

when I first brought it home, on the way, stopped off at a buddies place. It was leaking oil all over the engine compartment. Couldnt figure out where from... Po said that he just replaced the valve cover, cool deal... So why's it sprayin oil out on the freeway? I get it home (see engine shot) and these oil all over again. So I check the valve cover bolts and they are not even close to being finger tight. So I stare at the damn thing for a while trying to figure it out. After a while the lightbulb in the head goes on finally! :icon_idea:
there is no breather from the valve cover!
After I searched around for a solution cause the dern hole is smaller than most others, I fixed that issue. Then it was on to the suspension...

Oh yeah, the roof rack... According to the po, thats from an old vw bus. Nice touch, eh?

You better git on goldielucks good side...he/she/it kin take ya ta skool on them ramblers!
 
Yeah, I'd like to retain that 6 shooter for a while. According to the po, it was rebuilt not too long ago and he didnt drive it too much while he had it. So, if I can maintain that steady for a while, it will get a v8 later on down the road.

So, goldielocks is the resident 6 banger guru?
 
So, I dont recall seeing any reference to a "rambler" engine before... Is this one of those pos deals or is it not as bad as it sounds? Ha hah

honestly, the small amount I have driven it so far <100mi it hasnt been bad or given my any grief.
 
I never acknowledge that there was an American motors corp. (amc). They were always (and always will be) nashs and ramblers to me! With willys thrown in the mix too!

But then I forgit you kidz arount here never heard of nashs and ramblers!

Those 6 bangers are decent motors, it wuz the rest of tha nash/rambler guapo that I hated to have ta work on!
 
Well, I might be a kid comapred to some of you guys, but im fully aware of the nashs, ramblers and willys. Ive been going to car shows and events for about 18 years, so I have a decent idea anyway... :icon_mrgreen:

I did do a search here and found a bit of info, but nothing in depth. Aint no thang though, as long as the sixer gets me through a year or two I will be happy with it. Thanks for the info.
