Mastercraft carb problem with thermostat housing.

I have a 1965 International Scout 80 with a 345 engine from a Scout II. I'm having a problem with my carb and the thermostat housing. I bought the same carb that originally had come with the Scout (when I bought it) it was a motorcraft 2 bbl. The only difference is the accelerator pump assembly. The problem that I am having is the accelerator pump assembly is too close to the thermostat housing so the handle on the assembly (I think it might be called the accelerator kicker) wont move back and forth when you press on the gas peddle. Has anyone else had this problem? Do you have any recommendations on any modifications that I might be able to do? Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the forum Brian. The motorcraft/autolite 2100 was never original equipment on any IH engine, however they are a common swap item, so I know plenty of binder folk have had success with that mixer. Can you post some pics of your clearance issue?
