Manual transmission flywheel

I am about to swap out my 4 cyl 196 for a 345 V8 in my 1977 Scout II. Everything is pretty much stock, I will be keeping the T-19 4 speed/D20 transfer case. My question:
Is the flywheel from the 4 cyl 196 the same as a flywheel for the 345 V8? I need to get the crank, harmonic balancer and flywheel balanced for the V8 and need to know.

The flywheel is NOT the same. You need to find a V8 flywheel as the balance is difference. IH Parts America should be able to help you.
