Major Door Weather Strip Issues

Hi guys. I am having a hell of a time with this weatherstrip installation. I bought the kit i think from IHA. There were no directions. You will notice in the pictures I have 2 rails. One seems to be ridge and the other one moves. I assume the rigid one goes in the slot where the tiny window goes and the semi flexible ones goes on the opposite side. But since the semi flex one goes in the left side of the door you can see it poking out and won't stay right. The original one had a piece that was riveted to the vertical bar and then the fully rounded one for the top of the door. What do I do now? I am a bit pissed either I didn't get the full parts or I tossed them. I noticed on another web site from the pictures that those vertical peices have a welded bar to connect the top part.

I would appreciate some help on this.

The rigid one does go against the vent window and the flexible one goes on the opposite side. You have to remove the clip from the original one and attach it to the new one by riveting it on. The staple pieces for me were the most difficult. Good luck.

Thanks for the help. I had a feeling I had to revit something. but in the picture it shows the arm connected to the new set. No offense to the guy who built these after market units, but they didn't think things through. Its going to take me even longer to make this work, and I think I got the rubber pushed off one of the vertical posts which means my first set was a pre run. Will have to buy another set when I am ready to make this work.

Did you have to cut any of the rounded piece down at all or you kept everything out of the box as is?

I have a '66 Travelette so there are four doors and the rear ones are a bit more difficult because two of the pieces have to be stapled on.

I called XXXXXXX and the guy said their kit has the riveted piece, so ill be dropping another 175$ for that kit. I guess the one I bought was trial. This time I should be good to go. Its simple to take a part but tough to put back together.
