LS Swap Emissions

I LS swapped my '77 rig while in Missouri and have loved the results so far.

I moved to CA and have an issue because I did not keep any of the emissions equipment. The rules here are strict. I need to go back to some form of stock exhaust manifolds with an EGR port. Does anyone have experience with manifolds that will clear the frame?

I know the stock LS truck manifolds will not fit. I heard that maybe the 2000 F body manifolds may work. Just want to hear some opinions on the options I have. Really wish I could spend the emissions money on new paint.....

PS. If I do get this all to work I will make sure I take good notes and post what works to get through the emissions referee station here.

Thanks,
Dominic

You need to get in touch with a smog referee. Sounds like you have but he'll need to see your setup and issue corrective actions to get an approval or homologation.
You will need to conform with all emission rules in effect when the LS was originally installed at the factory in a new vehicle

LS swaps are the most common in cali. IH Parts does this to scouts and you may save a lot of time having them tidy it up. I don't know it they would take it on midstream. Worth a call I think. Yodaism intended.
