Low-Beam headlights cutting out

I have a new-to-me '76 Scout II 345, and the lowbeam headlights are cutting out every few minutes. High beams work fine, all other lights remain on and the dashlights are fine. Does not seem to be related to bumps or vibrations. I recently installed the Hella halogen headlamps and the problem continues. Wire harnesses seem OK. Is there a low-beam relay? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

There is no relay. Check the dimmer switch connections on the floor, and try unplugging and re-plugging the rectangular firewall connector near the master cylinder. The firewall connectors are notorious for causing wiring issues.

Hondo, your advice solved the issue, I'm guessing it was the bulkhead connection, but reconnected both the bulkhead connections and the dimmer switch and all is well, thanks for the help.

Great start. It would be a good idea to inspect the connectors and put some silicone grease on them to prevent corrosion.
