Looking for a special T 18 tranny

Think I have come to the right place.

Have been through all pages of this thread and the parts for sale thread, too. I have a 1966 half brother to a 1966 IH Scout 800.

Engine is a 152 ci slant four cyl, tranny is a 2 whl dr borg warner t 90 3 spd and rear end is a Dana 27, 3.7.gears; chassis and running gear, therefore, are, basically, all IH Scout 800.

Want to upgrade the tranny to a 3 syncho gear forward one. First thought was a later IH installed borg warner t 15, but a knowledgeable person at this site, recommended that a far simpler swap would be to find, the optional t18 4 spd 2 whl dr version offered in 1966 that had been installed in an IH vehicle.

The best match would be a 152 ci engine 2whl dr, with the t18 tranny. Unlike Ford, IH only offered the close ratio t 18. However, either would work, if I can swap out for the pilot (front) shaft (small diameter) that came for the 152 ci engine. Front shaft diameter for all the other IH engine options had the larger diameter shaft.

The small slant four cyl with 4 spd in 2whl dr was an uncommon combo, so not many were ordered that way.
Additionally, most of those appeared to have gotten swapped out for more desirable combos. Thus, I am, very likely, looking for one that is holding down the floor or gathering weeds somewhere.

The person I just talked to on IH parts said he had only seen a handful come through among the thousands, so I May have to create one, by switching out front shafts or something with some t 18.

One note in this thread or among the parts for sale thread mentioned that the rear of my "pancake bell"housing that came with the 152 ci, could be machined, etc, so that the t18 tranny would mate up to it.

Would appreciate any thoughts or comments, before I try to put up a wanted ad.

I winter in florida, spring plus fall in wisconsin and my nose tells me where to go in summer drive in between all, usually, with 3/4 dodge ram, so can haul/carry most anything.
