I have a 75 sii 304ci, converted gold box to pertonix iii.
Im thinking of swapping out the pertonix for a new distributor. Ive had to replace the pertonix iii once and I just keep reading that they are prone to failure. Im a bit of a worry wart and I just dont want it in the back of my head that "this is the day that the pertonix goes" every time I get in the truck.
I have read on here about some conversions to available at junk yard swaps. I believe mopar was an option on one of these distributor swaps. I cant find the links. Help?

The original ignitor module (ignitor I) doesn't have the built in circuitry protection of the later II and iii versions and is therefore more prone to failure in a situation where the ignition switch is inadvertently left on with the engine stopped for more than a brief duration. The write-ups for the diy dizz mods were done by bill hamilton (bill usn) over on binder planet.
