After doing some searching doesnt seem to have much info on axle swaps other than on scouts. Ive got a 64 travelette 4wd that I am looking to ditch out for either d44 or d60's. The truck will see limited off roading but more cool looks and some towing. I am looking for something as close to bolt in as possible. Thoughts??!?!:icon_rotate:
 
Least hassle approach is to find a 73-87/91 3/4t Chevy 4x4.

Swap the axles.

Change the draglink to adapt to the Chevy "horseshoe" for steering.

New brake lines, and a disc/drum master cylinder and you're in business.

You will likely need to weld the rear axle perches into the right place, and perhaps shock mount adjustments, but all in all pretty easy.. And cheap.
