Scout frame don't know the year, 4cyl unsure of the size, and the transmission I can't tell off the top if it is three or four speed... But! But! But! It has a pto unit, which is kinda cool so is it worth the $300 I am about to spend on the whole rolling frame for mt 62? Can someone help me identify the transmission and anything else as I gather parts for my spring project?

Threads merged. No need to double post the same question.

Defiantly need a better photo to nail it for sure.

From my experience. The fact that it has a d18 xfer and a pto it is a Scout 80 so it would have a t90 trans as I don't believe a 4 speed was available, only after 65-66 in the 800. The pto looks to be oem for a wench or what ever.

More than that and you'll need to post a better picture.

Looks like a 61-62 Scout 80 with a 152 as it has the aluminum intake special to those years, t-90 3 spd as the short length and shifter tower give it away, d-18 transfer case, and ramsey dual output pto unit. If it has the Scout 80 ramsey pto winch on the frame then it is definitely worth it as those had special brackets to hold it inbetween the frame before the nose/front grill of the Scout. I have one on my Scout and you can see some pics of it in my build thread. Saw this on craigslist, so I gather your in the northwest?

Yes, in the northwest... There are so many scouts out here around seattle it is sick! I found a poor 74' Travelall with rebuit engine, trans, rearend, and new driveshaft less than a grand on the whole thing suffer an interior fire now the whole drivetrain is going for a thousand or best offer. Some right hand drive scouts out here as well... Neat stuff around! If anyone needs any cool stuff I will keep my eyes open just let me know!

Just another gear that is closer to 4th and a lower first. :winky: the overdrive that I will be adding will give me the additional speed and if I really wanted even more gear choices!:icon_eek:
