Need some advise on my 65 Scout 80 Dana 44 axle swap. I'm currently in the middle of swapping Dana 44 on to my Scout 80. I plan to stay s.u.a. And currently have fj40 leaf springs which are about 2 3/4" wide. There is not enough space between the leaf spring and the pumpkin for the u-bolt to go through. My spring hangars and shackles are 3" wide. If I go with Scout II leaf springs do I also need to swap the hangars and shackles or can I keep those. I believe the Scout II springs are 2" wide so that should be enough room for the u-bolt to go through.
