Well, I think I found my valve problem I've been having. When you build the engine yourself and don't put the oil galley plug in the front of the engine for the lifter galley it makes it hard for the lifters to pump up. I ran the oil pump before I put the plug in to make sure the galley was getting oil and it was. I also am going to run through the entire oil checkout that michael has posted. I'm just glad the engine didn't fail.

You're only an idiot if you didn't learn something! We've all got stories to tell. Do a search for "wheel in a tree" for instance.
