Yeah that's what I told my loving wife about the 1953 r130 sitting on her side of the garage. Boy I guess I missed that Mark. `my project started August 15 2012 when I purchased this old girl for $500 cdn. After getting it home I was able to inspect the entire truck better. My discoveries were pretty much what I'd thought, interior trashed, wiring eaten by rodents, engine seized beyond repair, and frame weakened from age and sitting in a field since 1975. The good news was the cab and box were in excellent condition with only surface rust over them. There were no holes except the 2 in the bulkhead of the box where the original owner installed hold down rings. The truck sat just outside my side of the garage until I could figure out what I was going to do with it. April 20 2013 I found a 1991 f350 with the 7.3 non turbo for $1000, I thought here are the parts I'm in need of, a decent engine, good 5 speed trans, along with a much better rear gear set. Mine was a staggering 7.39:1!!! Over the course of May and August the truck gradually took shape to the point that it stands today. Health, cold weather, and financial issues are all contributing to the length of time it is taking to finish it off. I do occasionally get out and work a bit on her, but not as much as I'd like. This year it has to be finished as I am getting involved with a couple of restoration projects that I'll be paid to do.
