I am selling my International 304 engine. This engine is out of a 74 International Scout II with 4x4. The engine has been well maintained and serviced and currently runs. It has new points, plugs and a fairly new waterpump. It has been used mainly as a daily driver with minimal off road hours. It is a good looking motor. I am selling this motor minus the carb, alternator,starter and fan because I need them for my next project.
The bad about this motor is that it simply worn out. When I tested the compression the cyclinders ran consistantly low, the vacuume is steady but low, and the oil pressure is with in the norm. This motor does not tick, ping or exhibit any bad behavior that is evidence of cracks, bad heads, or a flat cam. Once rebuilt or possibly re-ringed this motor would make a great motor for years to come. I am selling this motor as a good running builder.
I am asking $300 or best offer for this motor because it is a good running biulder motor that will not require things like a new distributor, waterpump, and heads. This is not some motor that has been sitting in a field for the last 20 years or been rusting in a junker rig. This motor has been running in the Scout II on my profile. If you would like I can list compression numbers. Despite the low compression I had this motor running last week and it ran well for a motor with low cylinder pressure.if you have any questions about this motor or are interested feel free to call or email me.
