intake bolts

I've read on this forum that intake bolts need to be sealed as they protrude into intake runners and will leak vacuum. I had a look at an old 345 head and it looks like to me that all the bolts go into the pushrod/lifter holes. I'm confused. I know that rocker stand bolts go into intake runners.

I use some form of sealant on the intake bolts to prevent lubricating oil migration. And it is just a small bit on the leading threads, not a large amount at all.

Otherwise, over time, some oil will puddle in the intake manifold on some ports. Not all of 'em just a few normally.

I use this stuff on everything.

I found it works like a mild thread locker too.
