Hey all,
just looking at the new thread on the home page about steve's expedition Scout traveler and saw a very cool roll cage.
Jeff said it is from ihc customs that I guess is no longer around. Has anyone seen or know about the dash plates? It allows you to use use window cranks, headlights, glove box door, etc. W/no clearance issues.
Jeff, if your out there listening are you guys going to sell your own version????????
Does it require any mods???? It looks like it bolts to the front tub body mounts.
Super cool......

I made mine, just use cardboard and make a template. It is nice have a full glove box door and access to the window cranks with the doors closed. I'll find a pic for you.

We can get you cage legs from a different vendor. However the lead time is sometimes a little long. Give us a call if you're interested and one of us can get some pricing for you.

I along with another buddy made a set. They turned out great and were not too much trouble. Give it a shot!

Mine are 1/4" plate, I used a brake to bend the tops over then put a fat weld inside of the bend to strengthen it. The bottom has the tube that goes down and ties into a base plate bolted through the body mount.

I might have an ihc customs cage - certainly pieces were inspired.

You have to zoom in to see the detail of the a pillar plate everyone is talking about.

Click-through for the high-res

Then look at the "right front" and you can see the 3/8" plate sandwiched between the dash and the a pillar, and the bent "l" at the top and gusset where the tube comes down.
