IH Valve covers on a Chevy 350?

Here's shot of the inside of a typical I-4/sv valve cover, this one has the baffle inside for the flame arrestor or pcv valve which May screw into the boss on the exterior. Also has an oil filler penetration.

Ya can see the "shape" of the cover mounting flange is considerably different from any sbc...or any other engine for that matter. And of course the mounting hole setup is not even close.

can it be done? I would like to class up my 350 in the bling department.

Dude, it's a Chevy, if you trying you hide it you shouldn't have swapped it in!! Lol.....there are 100's of sbc valve cover variations out there, I am sure you can find some with a suitable amount of chrome or billet or gold plating or whatever bling consists of these days.

It came with the 350/th350/NP205 and the Dana 44 front /12 bolt rear. Was just hoping I could get some more IH branding in there. Will probably do what you said and look for some chrome or aluminum or something

Years ago, when I wanted to swap in a big block mopar I thought of cutting the "International" script out of some covers and brazing the International on to the mopar covers. I figured both were big blocks, front distributor, and with the International on the covers I could fool the smog nazis here in the prc. I never did it, the swap.
