Hi guys,
I am new to the IH world but have loved the rigs for a long time. I'm getting a '72 1310 from my buddy and we have been doing some work on it over the last few weeks. When I went over there the other day to get some work on it the clutch was giving me some issues. Every time I would make an adjustment it would seem that the cable would stretch farther and farther not allowing the clutch to disengage so that I could shift.
I have looked into the clutch cable and it seems that the part number I am looking for is 408484c1.
Rig info:
1972 1310 4x4
engine: 345 cid
trans: 4spd manual
transfer: divorced
axles: d70 front and rear
I was wondering if anyone had any documentations or forums that explained or showed how the replacement goes. I have pretty small hands and didnt see a good way to get the parts out from under the dash.
I was able to get it running with no clutch and run it down the road, man is this an awesome rig.
