IH CHRISTmas for all!

I nominate jerry koren.

He is a great friend who has helped me out in many ways for years in the past.

I have not seen or heard from him for a few years, up until a couple weeks ago, I got a hold of him.
Talked about things and found out how rough things have been for him, and I thought this would be a great way to help him out.:cornut:
 
Bring a couple days late I'd say we had all the opportunity we need. I received this from arnie.( now take into fact that he was called to duty during a vacation...)hi Mark. Been without access altogether until now - got the pda to come up. Got power back yesterday. I will be in manila tomorrow and will try to connect from there. Been a good and very different trip. Will fill you in when I get back

so as soon as get the official contributers we will left Jeff and them decide how to give out prizes.

Christmas is just around the corner and I'd like to start a Christmas for all fund for the IH community. I have been helped before by the IH community for medical transportation and expenses for my wife during some major surgery. It made a huge difference and I'd like to return the favor and make sure everyone is covered for this Christmas again like the IH Christmas for all we did in 2007.

I'm not sure if we can do this here or what the stipulations are so will the leaders of this website let me know?

Anyone can donate, I'd like to have an independent third party hold and disperse the money or products, recipients can be keep anonymous if they choose and anyone can submit a name. My wish is no one would need help but in these tough economic times I doubt we could be so lucky. If so money will be donated to a food bank.

I will ask for two others to participate as board members to make decisions behind the scenes.

So if we can do this I will pledge the first $50. To the account until we can get a independent third party to handle the donations.

Edit: I have found a independent third party to hold the donations and make the disbursements near Christmas time. His name is arnie tyler. Founder of just internationals, a captain in the navy and my best friend. So make all IH Christmas for all donations to his paypal account at atyleratglobalind.com

just talked to Jeff and he will pull the winners from the hat tomorrow as long as nothing at work disrupts his plans.

Seeing that there are a total of 9 donors and 14 prizes any one have a problem with me only giving out 2 $50 gift certificates as opposed to 4 $25 ones? Or if you all agree I can make it 1 $100 certificate. Those of you who donated please let me know as you're all winners!
 
As far as I am concerned, do as you see fit. Maybe include some of the prizes as part of the Christmas donation.

I'm going to put 9 pieces of numbered paper in a iho beanie and pull them out one at a time. Once all are pulled out I am going to put them all back into the beanie and draw 3 more as there are a total of 12 prizes. Once we have the winners list we will go down the list with each winner picking out which prize they want.
