Plan on making it, get some input on installing the Yukon lunchbox locker in the d30 in front of my Scout.

Mmmm - pie!!!

I'm getten hungry every time I read through this thread. Don't think I will have my new to me bigger air compressor completely installed by Saturday. But, time permitting tomorrow, thoughts of bending some 1-3/4" dom might be fun, even though my old small air compressor is noisy as heck. I do have ear plugs if need be. Which is partly why I'm replacing it with the much quieter bigger one.

Most all my locker installs have been ARB air lockers, so I don't really have much experience with the Yukon locker. I think Joe - a.k.a - staceys Dad, might have some input on it

hey kimball,
thanks again for the invite but im not gonna be able to make it. If yall are doing a swap meet, im looking for a spare steering gearbox. Thx.

Dkminors.....check your inbox. Thx.

Hey joseph
I have two spares sitting here on the floor in my cave. One needs a rebuild but worked (has the bigger input shaft). The other one(which has the smaller input shaft) came off my 73 beast that works, with no issues that I'm aware of. I took it out in favor of my psc rebuilt box that I had drilled and tapped for hydro assist steering. Give me a call some time and/or swing by the cave and we can talk more about it.

Ill be coming up to help work. Also my ride knows how to install gears and lockers I know my way arount the tube bender if any of those skills are needed.

I'll be up teaching my little one how to use two boards on snow again... Looks like I'm missing one heck of an event... Not sure if I'm more jeaolouse of the rigs, food, missing some good friends, or watching some mean fab skills / mechanics learning me new tricks... Have fun, next time for sure!!!

You would be missed. maybe we could fab up a snow blower. Either way, don't mess with the yellow snow cones. And have fun.

My apologies for flaking out, but my Scout got as far as the coliseum and decided to die on the freeway. It started up a few moments later but died as soon as I started moving. I think it May be a bhc or perhaps a relay. At any rate after a few minutes I started it up and took surface streets back to milpitas with no problems.

Sorry to hear about the troubles. Glad you made it back safely. Maybe next time.
Thanks to oakland_jack for swinging by with a pizza for breakfast and getting caught up with hondo. Don't worry about the slice off the shin. Just another battle scare for future stories to tall around the camp fire :ihih: another IH truck came in briefely. Thanks to Joe for bringing in the pies - yum yum. Sean came in later in the afternoon. With the small group, it was cool to hang out around the webber cooken up a couple slabs of ribs and chicken legs/breasts. My Dad, who's not much a gear head, actually showed up for awhile. Little quick shot of a couple scouts that showed up. Sorry for not getting jack's Scout in there. He had to go take care of his little one before I remembered to grab the camera

Believe it was jack I was talking to about some nice spindle nut replacements this be them:

stage 8 off road fasteners | locking fastener

Need to look around seen them from about 50 to 100 bucks a set, work on both Dana 30s and 44s (I have them installed on my 30 in front). Just hated bending that fricking lock washer on and off.
