Ignition switch positions?

When inserting the ignition key, is there an "accessory" position when turning the key. I believe it would be the "position" right before the "start" position? Or is it one position counter clock-wise from the off position. Since the steering column molding doe snot have an indicator, I don't want to "fry" my ignition module.

Any help is good.

Ya know, I have the shop manuals, but see nothing relative to the ignition key positions.

The ignition has several positions, five to be exact:

accessory-lock-off-run-start

listed in order, ccw to cw.
