I have a 72 Scout and the other day I picked up what looks like a 30 gal tank that was in a 78 Scout. But there are only a couple holes in the tank for the vents and fuel return. My question is do I need all the vents and fuel returns in the tank? Cant I get bye with just a vent tube a fuel line and the filer?
Thanks

That's all I have on my 74, a vent to the filler tube and the fuel line. But in CA you have emmision regs to worry about, right? I will let someone else clarify that but I think the vapor canister under the hood has to be connected also.

Yea CA sucks like that but there are a couple things about living in norther CA that are nice and that living in lakeport, we have the cleanest are in the state so we don't have to smog are rigs after we get them and then for being a 72 I don't have to smog it. Any thing after 77 I think has to be smoged. So there is n an ishue with taking out the old system and putting in the new tank with just the vent, filler and fuel line?
