March 12,13 and 14.

It’s that time of year. Hollister March 12-13-14.
Originally called the west coast winter nationals back in the early-mid 90’s.

This annual trip is at minimum 15 years running. In recent years it has developed into a cross-over IH/tdo event via rocktractor. If you would like to see some incredible buggies from the tdo group and one of the larger offroad contingents of scouts, then this is your weekend.

Camping for the IH crowd will be in the sycamore campground.

Babs will do their usual Saturday chili-dog lunch.

The Dana 44 frontend was changed to a Dana 44 hd axle with a
3" axle tube housing 4.10 gears and the lockright from the old housing, the 727 torquflite was rebuilt using 4 pinion planetaries, red racing clutches, shift kit and a 13" tci motorhome/rv torque converter ( amc is the same one as International ), and a B&M megashifter. The tailhousing and shaft were changed from a Jeep 727 to mate up to the Jeep Dana 300 transfercase with 4.1 gears and 32 spline outputs front and back and a clocking ring to flatten out the transfercase and make room for the front cv driveshaft. The rearend was changed from the Dana 60 Ford with a worn out posi to a 14 bolt with 4.10 gears, detroit locker, u-bolt yoke and disc brakes. Future plans are a transfercase parking brake with a 1350 cv driveshaft from transfercase to rearend, right now I was able to re-use my 1310 cv driveshaft with a 1310 to 1350 spicer conversion u-joint to the rearend. The entire drivetrain except for the engine has been replaced.

Probably not going to make it. Still waiting for the baby to come, and hollister is too far for me to get "the call" and make it back in time. :icon_cry: take lots of pictures!

Kevin will probably join us on Saturday. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if some of my old wheeling buddies from pacific krawlers show up.
