hollister March 13-15 183.JPGo sht I didn't know it was this deep. This is at the end of Sunday and most of every one has left except me, my Dad ,carl and zoey. We decided we would go on one more trail run, this insiddent happend up by truck hill. What happend was well my Dad,carle, and zoey were on the othere side of the hill, takeing pictures of carles Scout. I decided to climb up a narrely hill.

I barrely made it up.after reaching the top I looked back and decided it was way to narrely to go back down.

I looked around and notest the water infront of me, I thought to my self, I could ride along the edge of the water and cut a cross to see if I could find another way down. I aproched the water slowely and entered my Scout.after 4 feet or so I figured it was safe and I proseeded moveing forward. Then suddenly my truck started slideing, I hit the brakes,I slid a 8 inches or so befor stopping. I put the Scout in park, helled on the brakes and reved the engin so to keep it from stalling.

I than put the Scout it into revers and flowerd it, I started backing out when my tires suddenly broke traction and I slid a foot an a half deeper. My engin coffed a couple time and stalled out. I then threw it in park.I figured I just got a little water in the carb. So I let it sit a minute.

Like a stupid idiat I pulled the lever attached to the vent below the parking brake. And water started gushing threw it, I closed it an now had an inch an a half of water in it and my door started leaking as well. So I turnned the ignition. The Scout sputterd a couple of times and started. I threw it in revers and flowred it only to slide 2 feet deeper into the water. The engin stalled again again,I put it in park and turned on the cb. I radioed carl for help.

I waited a minute, the water kept seeping threw into the cab. After a minute I didnt think they heard me antellthe meeter on my cb popped up and zoey,in her happy voice said '' ok we're on our way''.

After they found me,my Dad opend the back windo and I crawled out.my Dad and I took a few pictures. We attached some straps to the back and front of mine and carls scouts. I then climbed back into my Scout, started it up, and after two tries carl pulled me out .http://forums.IHPartsAmerica.com/at...ment.php?attachmentid=4508&stc=1&d=1237756963

After posting like you did, just go back and edit the post. You have to open each photo and then use the "insert image" icon and paste each picture into the thread.

Don't forget to pickup a gallon of diff oil at wal-mart, as I'm sure you got water/mud in the diff.
I made that mistake a few years back, now after a trip to hollister, I do a drain and fill. ( yes now all my vents are on the fire wall) another good tip after any water crossing is to pump like 5pumps of grease into every zirk fitting to purge any water/mud that might have gotten in there.

I had a blast out there too.
