The snow run is on the back burner for now . A few from a other off road forum are heading down to hollister dec 31 for a last run of the year . I am considering camping .
Just thought I would put it out there if any one is interested .

I'd be good for the day, not sure about camping though, it be pretty chill down there at night, and it's only about a 45 minute drive.
 
If I had one of my scouts drivable by then, which I doubt, I be in. I'm off work for the next two weeks. Other than being out of town part of next week, I plan on lots of wrench time on my scouts. But it's looking like I May not be done by then

I actually just ordered and paid for a transmission rebuild kit and a transfer case rebuild kit. Both for the 72 yellow Scout.
 
Ill be there for March but im still broken from last trip but I am injected now! Look out corn with a computer.
 
:icon_stressed:still plan on making it down for the day. Not quite broke yet, though it is that wonderful time of the year.
 
What little money I have left over is going to be used to purchase parts for 'ole yeller. I doubt that I will have it drivable by then. Mainly reliable enough. In the mean time for the next eight days, since I'm off work till the sixth, I will be buried in and under it to get it going under it's own power

Joe, when we were in hollister in November I think you mentioned knowing the person with the patrol buggy. Not sure if he would be interested in these free patrol parts:

I left early and had a great time, the weather was awesome, only saw about 4 or 5 other vehicles besides us all day. Four jeeps and the Scout showed up, there was no carnage as of the time I departed, even with a jaunt up the jungle (sat that one out).
 
Thanks for making the trip hondo . Had a great time . We even made a run up scotter hill . No breakage was observed . Thank you also for the care package . I am sure it will come in handy . I am currently working on my weldanator . I need to finde a fan that will fit the alternator but spins clockwise.
Dan I May see thoes guys Tuesday night . I will pass on the info thanks .
