Trying to revive a 62 Scout 80 and need a replacement for the nylon lever/cam that actuates the accelerator pump on a Holley 1904 carb.

Any body have a spare? I tried Bob's carb shop in az but he has sold out of hist cast aluminum version and it will be weeks before his supply is replenished.

To expedite things, I could pay via paypal.

Thanks,

Got your email, I lost my computer system three days ago and have been down until this morning. I've sent you a reply by email, we can fix ya up!

I need the same part for my 1964 Scout 80 with Holley carb. How can I get one?

Send an email to:

With pics of your carb and the remnants of the accel pump cam if you have 'em. I also need your list number off the carb body to use as a "guide".

There are at least four possible cams used, two different nylon cams, and two different steel cams. Since your is damaged, I assume you need nylon, the steel versions don't break from age!

There are also three different lengths of accel pump element rods, two possible pivot shaft locations and lengths, and three different actuator links. Then...we get into the Ford variations!

So ya can see this is not "simple"! Many of the carbs I get for repair have incorrect parts installed and have never operated correctly since that point.

If you look very closely at the remnants of your nylon cam, you May find a tiny Holley part number cast in, that is the actual part number and is a big help in determining "correctness"!

Michael,

I received the two cams you mailed late last week; I see why you call the cam I had the "skinny" cam - the other version looks much stronger. I suspect they must have had a problem with breakage and realized they needed more material in the lever. Other than that, those two parts are mechanically the same.

I elected to use the beefier version of the cam which is working great.

I will mail the skinny cam along with a check for the fat cam, today.

Thanks!
