Hinge Friction Pads

Anyone know of a source for the friction pads that go inside the Scout II hinges to keep the doors open?

Has anyone had success making them from scrartch? Perhaps nylon sheets of the right thickness could be cut. Although nylon May be too slick.

Thanks,

Well being something 40 years old, nylon would have been there choice back then.

I do know they are hard. But the wifes uhmw cutting board should work just fine. The issue is the clip that hold the pad in place.

Not to mention the wife holding a knife wondering where her cutting board went...
