I'm looking at doing the Holley gold box to mopar conversion sometime in the near future. Unfortunately I'm not convinced I have the concept of setting the timing right.

Anyone not scared of oakland???

Oh..... I had that problem but thanks to a 73 I got I switched frames an stuf now im free to do what I want with it.

I did this to my truck 3 years ago and have never had any problems with it not only does it start better it has more power

Mine was points but we also did my buddies 76 Scout that was gold box and it has been working flawless also for a couple of years

If you could get a picture of the inside I'd owe you big-time (distributor, gold box).

With the gold box we just reused the original pickup that was in the ditributor and just wired it to the GM module and used the Ford coil. I have attached a few pics of the inside of mine that I modified ed

Hmm...well...that was smart! You don't even need to think about the timing then... Just upgrade the coil and control module. Smart...
