HEI Distributer adding Timing Control

Hello, I purchased an HEI distributer for a V8 without timing control two years ago and I would like to add timing control to it. What is needed or should I say what is not needed?

I am installing an Holley Snipper EFI 2300 master kit on a 1961 C122 with a 304.

Which HEI distributor did you buy? The one made by Performance Distributors or the one from Hamilton?

I am assuming it was the Bill Hamilton HEI. The box had no manufacture name on it and it is the small cap HEI with the four wire.

If it's a small cap than it probably is. I haven't converted one yet so I am not sure of the exact procedure. I would get in touch with Bill and see what he recommends. http://hamiltonfuelinjection.com/contactus.aspx

If you bought it 2yrs ago, it may have been prior to me selling a corrected version.
Mine would have had my instructions in the box.
I would need pics of your distr to know for sure.
The carb version can be converted to EFI timing control fairly easily.
I recommend you send me a couple pics to sales@hamiltonfuelinjection.com
Then we can set a path forward for you.
