Heater Hose Ports '64 Tvlette 304

Hey guys, is the extra port on the side of my '64 304 C1200 Tvlette thermostat housing (3/4" NPT?) the supply port for the cab heater hose? And is the stem on my water pump the return from the cab heater? And what size hose is the heater hose? I do not have a heater core yet, but I want to set up the system.

Heater hose is 5/8ths ID.
