Heater Blower Motor

the blower motor I purchased from you, like the one from napa, is a little too tall. When I transfer the blower wheel from the old motor to the new one it bottoms out on the case. If I screwed it down the wheel would be unable to turn.

I wish I had a better answer jim. We've done one install of this motor when we first researched them and have sold a few since but I guess none were for a 1980 model year. Also the motors we are buying are from a different supplier, not napa. I'm starting to wonder if 1980 had something different. Sorry for it not being what it is supposed to be. Feel free to return the item for a full refund.
 
If I return the motor, I'm stuck. I'll grind the flats back a quarter inch and see if I can make it work.
