Grille swap

Hey everyone.

I just got a 1980 Scout II a couple weeks ago and am trying to swap the grille out to an earlier year. The grille that's on there now is so damaged that I can't point the headlights at the road....yikes

I found a '72 grille and have it all painted and ready to go. I have the round headlight conversion kit from this site. But I'm having a hell of a time trying to get the buckets so I can mount up the lights.

My question is does anyone know if there is maybe a Jeep bucket that will work? Or any suggestions on where I'd be able to find those? I found a pair on ebay that say 74-79 Scout II. Would those fit?

I already got ripped off by someone on a different IH forum that took my money and never sent me buckets...so I'm pretty discouraged at this point.
 
Welcome to the forum. Sorry you got hosed elsewhere. I don't know how generic that light bucket is as far as crossing over with other makes, but any sii round bucket from years '71.5 thru '79 would be the same. Shouldn't be that difficult of a part to come by. If you haven't noticed it yet, this forum does have a classified section near the bottom of the page with a "wanted" sub-section. Might have some luck there, hopefully better than the previous attempt. We don't take kindly to shysters around here.
