A few years ago I asked my neighbor if I could have this International truck and he said he would chew on it. Finally I bugged him enough and he said if I can tow it out I can have it. So now the process begins of getting rolling tires and a tow bar that can handle the trucks weight. I will be towing it with my m1028 cucv, if anyone has any suggestions or ideas about moving this beast to my neighboring ranch let me know. Keep in mind that its 4x4 access only. Thanks for looking....

More to come...

Here's a pic of a similar rig I'm involved with now in building a new rear axle for. This one belongs to one of our members here, ccctrumpet.

This rig is a 2x4 and was originally a short bed. The frame was stretched professionally (common procedure) when the service body was installed. It is also not originally a dually but is running an adapter set for the dual wheels. I'm building a true dual wheel d70 axle for it now from a dodge pickup.

This rig was flat towed for many miles during it's recovery (behind a Travelall) and I want ya to know it was a handful. I've done the same with a similar rig and I'll not do that again!!! I have much experience in flat towing and know when to say no! It was originally recovered onna trailer, and then transferred to flat tow and even that was dicey.

And to be safe (and most likely legal), your rig needs to go on at least a 20ft. Trailer with the total load balanced. I'm now using local towing companies for moving stuff like this, their cost is always less than what I can do myself after borrowing someone's trailer and buying fuel. And it's hassle-free. Could it be tow-strapped out to a loading point for a commercial rollback??

That t'ette is really an exceptional rig! The ultimate urban assault weapon with condos to keep kids in (and tools of course!).
